Chesterford Research Park team stride out in Saffron Walden 10km race!

13 runners from Chesterford Research Park joined the approximately 350 strong field for the Saffron Walden 10km race organised by the Saffron Striders running club last Sunday, September 26th.

Oct. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- The team, which consisted of individuals from on-site companies, gym members and Park staff each completed the course in under 68 minutes with particularly fast performances from Ben Sutton and Ilka Muller both from BioFocus who finished in 45.24mins and 43.20 respectively.

Park Manager, Katherine Maguire who also took part and completed the course in 58 minutes commented:  “Chesterford Research Park has fielded a team for this race for a number of years now.  It’s very motivational to have a goal to work towards and we certainly see an increase in training activity amongst both tenants and staff as race day approaches!

The Chesterford Research Park (http://www.chesterfordresearchpark.com) team finished second in the overall team rankings, having been beaten by the Debden Dashers who have won it for the past four years.

Chesterford Research Park is ideally situated within easy reach of the City of Cambridge, Stansted airport and the M11.  The Park also operates a taxi service and regular shuttle buses to and from the railway stations at Audley End and Great Chesterford, from which London is only approximately an hour away.  From its position within the South Cambridgeshire Biotech Cluster, Chesterford Research Park is perfectly positioned to offer companies of all sizes attractively located, well designed, state-of-the-art facilities.
