By: dot-art We are delighted to announce that dot-art will be taking part in the third annual Buy Art Fair, showcasing the work of eight Merseyside based artists. This year’s event will take place in the Spinningfields district of Manchester city centre, from 28th-31st October 2010. The largest art fair outside London, with 65 galleries selling the work of over 400 artists, this will be the only place for Northern collectors and enthusiasts to see a huge number of galleries together under one roof. With cultural partners including ArtinLiverpool.com, The Contemporary Art Society, Manchester Art Gallery and The Bluecoat, the Buy Art Fair has now become a regular fixture on Manchester’s art scene; offering talks by prominent collectors, artist interviews and advice on starting an art collection on a budget. The fair is a great place to visit for art professionals, art lovers, novice and established collectors as well as anyone interested in buying and learning about contemporary art. Lucy Byrne, Director of dot-art said: “This is the first time we have taken part in the Buy Art Fair, which will be a fantastic opportunity for us to highlight and promote the wealth of artistic talent in our region to a large audience of art enthusiasts. Drawings by recent graduates will sit alongside sculptures by highly collectable and established artists, ensuring there is truly something to suit all tastes and pockets. I am looking forward to introducing visitors to the work of our diverse group of artists and helping them to find out more about starting or building their own art collection in a relaxed, informal setting.” You will find dot-art at Stand 264, exhibiting the work of: Simon Birtall, Dave Bullock, Susan Lee Brown, Anna Cade, Tony Evans, Danny Hampson, Richard Pryke and Roy Munday. Art lovers wishing to visit the fair can obtain FREE tickets (usually £4-5) by emailing art@dot-art.com with BUY ART FAIR as the subject. -ENDS - High resolution images available on request.
