PRLog (Press Release) -
Sep. 30, 2010 - Sunday, October 3 at Noon pacific and eastern time on KSAV.org, Susan McCray presents Orchestra Hall. The program features Camille Saint-Saen's "Carnival of the Animals." This composition is a set of orchestral character pieces, each of which is meant to describe a particular animal, usually by mimicking the sounds it makes or characterizing the way it moves or carries itself. Next on the program, Maurice Ravel's "Mother Goose Suite." A charming imaginative little suite of fairytale pieces. This of course has Ravel's twin signatures - a luxurious sound and elegance. Rounding out the hour's concert, Georges Bizet's the "Little Suite" ("Jeux d'Enfants.") It is a dainty composition which has achieved great popularity in spite of its miniature nature.
A whimsical, enjoyable program for the entire family Sunday, October 3 at Noon eastern and pacific time.
All Susan McCray Presents Orchestra Hall programs are archived on the KSAV.org website listed under the Program title.
