By: Megan Hancox Around 16:00 police cordoned off Victoria square, Great Charles street and Queensway tunnel causing massive problems on the roads. Rush hour was hit by extra surges of traffic been diverted and public transport was held up for an hour. Until now, nearly 20 hours later the man is still refusing to move. Negotiators have been trying to talk to man down all night with no success. Details have not yet been released with regards to the man identity or why he is in the stand-off with police. Roads have been blocked off to prevent an accident or public interference. This has caused a huge knock on effect, queues are backed up to the Aston expressway and all around the affected area in the City centre, predicted to only get worse with rush hour. Commuters are frustrated with the diversions and long traffic jams, many opting to walk.
