Warcloud aka Holocaust (Wu-Tang) Tribute Week Day 4: Blue Sky Black Death Interview

Sept. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- While we are taking the time this week to explore the Holocaust universe, we cannot look past his collaborations with Blue Sky Black Death. After a first and very well received collaborative track on their debut “A Heap of Broken Images”, Kingston and Young God felt their cinematic beat making combined with the haunting Holocaust lyrics had enough potential to do so much more than just one track . Plans for a full album with the notorious underground MC arose pretty soon, both parties got together and in the fall of 2006 “BSBD Presents the Holocaust” was a fact. Fans were thrilled with the result and to date a lot find this to be the best album in the Holocaust catalogue due for one to the beautiful soundscapes provided by the production duo. Mission accomplished and everyone looking back with satisfaction you might think then …

But unfortunately pretty soon we noticed signs of the opposite. While in our first BSBD interview with Kingston and Young God everything looked OK, a year later things seems to have taken a turn for the worse. In our second BSBD interview (about the “BSBD presents Razah’s Ladder” album) there was an alarming short answer when we mentioned Holocaust again: “we don't have any kind of relationship with the Holocaust anymore” … No further explanation was given. Fans could only wonder what the problem could be. Also rumours off the Holocaust camp not being satisfied with how the album was managed and put out started floating the internet …

Yesterday we interviewed Pro the Leader (The Professional and Warcloud Archives Vol. X Interview) who, amongst many other things-Warcloud, shed some light and his account of the BSBD and Holocaust's collaboration. The least one could say after reading the interview yesterday is that there was or is some miscommunication or fricton between the two parties about the way it came out. As Wu-International chooses not to take sides and keep things fair, we felt the need to give Young God and Kinston from BSBD the chance to respond to some of these answers. They agreed to share their viewpoint in all this and in reacting on Pro’s perception of the creation and release of the Holocaust album: Were there indeed initially two albums planned? If so what happened? Was there indeed a communication problem about the final release? How do they feel about all this when looking back at it? What are their feelings towards Holocaust?
