Halton-Peel Private School Expo Coming This Weekend

Sept. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- This weekend, the Halton-Peel Private School Expo returns to The Oakville Conference Center for an eight straight year. As it has every year, the event promises to connect parents with potential schools in an entirely unique forum.  As one parent said last year, the expo presents "a unique opportunity to see all the different private schools in one place and talk to administrators and teachers."

The Private School Expo in Oakville is put on by Our Kids Media, a Mississauga organization well versed in promoting private education in Canada. They are hosting four different expos across Canada this fall.

The event this weekend has a number of other unique advantages over other ways of discussing private education opportunities. For one, the expo affords parents a uniquely relaxed environment in which to meet schools. As opposed to setting up a school visit or parent interview, at the expo, schools are waiting to meet parents with no expectations and no pressure. If they choose to, parents can even remain anonymous.

The expos also allow parents to learn about education alternatives that they may not know about on their own. As one parent puts it, "I would recommend it to any parent so you're aware of the choices you have in both public and private schools. When you're going forward you can make the best decision for your kids."

The Our Kids Halton-Peel Private School Expo will take place at the Oakville Conference Centre – Holiday Inn, 2515 Wyecroft Road, Oakville, Ontario, from 12 noon until 4 pm, on Sunday, October 3, 2010.
