Approximately one-fifth of the citizens in the United States of America experience a form of disability. We comprise the largest minority population in the nation. For this reason, The Disability Message regularly posts stories related to us on every single page.

The Disability Message was created and is produced by Thomas C. Weiss, M.A., a veteran who has both service-connected and non-service connected forms of disabilities. Thomas pursued independent education on undergraduate and graduate levels in relation to Disability Studies. He also provided hands-on care for fellow persons with disabilities over a twenty-four year period of time as a Nursing Assistant.
