South Florida based Wedding Photographers travel back to Haiti for Second time in as many months

Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Miami based wedding photographer KT Merry and her husband Chad are heading off on yet another journey. However, this journey is not their typical weekend wedding shoot gilded with glitz and champagne. It is quite the contrary actually.

Anyone who watches the news is aware of the ongoing situation in Port Au Prince and across much of Haiti for that matter. The earthquake of early 2010 has left the city ravaged, impoverished, and starving for aide. The worn faces of the local people reflect the hardships they have struggled and it can be hard to find a smile amongst the crowds. Well, that's not entirely true because one happy Port Au Prince couple could not be smiling any brighter.

It has been said that love makes you forget the bad and focus on the good. That statement couldn't be any more relevant for this young couple. The Groom is a lifelong local whose company is actively rebuilding much of the city and his positive outlook on the situation has landed him some of the best economic times of his career. The Bride, young and beautiful, lost her father in the earthquake and has held on to the companionship of her soon to be husband for support. Together they are stronger than ever despite the economic and political downfalls that have rendered their country impoverished.

Next weekend KT and Chad head to Haiti to provide coverage of the family's local wedding celebration, the final "farewell" before the couple heads off to the Florida Keys to tie the knot. The party will be complete with local seafood and fruity island drinks, peacocks and geese roaming the grounds, hoards of family and friends, and of course plenty of smiles. It's amazing how a little love can turn frowns into smiles.
