Follow on Google News | Trampoline Testing at TP ToysEvery TP Trampolines pass the EN71 toy safety standard
By: Sarah Draper, E-Marketing Manager The test rig examines the robustness of all elements of the trampoline components: legs, joints, frame, pads, springs, D rings that join the trampoline bed to springs and bed stitching. The process takes around 40 days ( 12 hours a day) for a trampoline to achieve a pass on the 1 million bounces test. That’s around 2000 bounces per hour for 500 hours. You can imagine how many years use that would represent for a regular family trampoline. Passing a 1 million bounce test means the trampoline frame has exceeded 1 million bounces and remains in good condition with no component failure at all. Miles Mann, Senior Designer at TP explained how the test rig plays a vital role in product design : ‘We use the test rig to inform our design process. Our trampoline designs, especially in the case of the TP Star Trampoline range, are truly innovative. They are also exceptional in terms of performance and durability, and we can make sure of that by putting new designs through their paces on the test rig well before they reach the market place and TP customers’. The development and use of the test rig also ensures that the quality of TP trampolines remains consistently high, in the production of each consignment. http://www.tptoys.com/ # # # About us: TP Toys is the UK's leading manufacturer of outdoor toys and has built its business on delivering fun for kids and peace of mind for parents and recently acquired children’s outdoor clothing mail order retailer Muddy Puddles.
