Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Science, math and technology teachers can now enroll in "Using Robots in Lunar Exploration" (Physics 591-01), an online course offered by Montana State University.  Teachers who complete the course will earn one graduate credit from MSU.

The inquiry-based course focuses on the role that robotics play in NASA missions to the moon. Participants will be loaned a LEGO Mindstorms robotics kit and will learn how to use the kit to stimulate their students' interest in lunar exploration.

The six-week course begins Oct. 4 and ends Nov. 19. The course is offered completely online.

The course is offered through Extended University's National Teachers Enhancement Network (NTEN), a program that has offered online resources for K-12 science teachers since 1993.
