Sept. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- The in-house agency business model was prompted in large part by corporate pressure to drive down the cost of advertising. Fast and cheap became the mantra of many internal creative groups. Over the last several years, however, there has been a marked change in this niche industry.
In-house agencies have shifted from order-takers to strategic partners. They’re focused on broader business challenges like how to expand their company’s digital footprint and how to optimize the media mix—which is why the theme for this year’s In-House Agency Forum (IHAF) conference is so timely.
The 2010 IHAF Annual Conference: Tools, Trends & Technology will provide in-house advertising executives, marketing managers, and creative contributors with a look at the latest advancements in the areas of promotion, engagement, and measurement.
The conference will feature visionary leader and changing technology expert, Tom Koulopoulos, as keynote speaker. Named one of the industry’s most influential information management consultants by InformationWeek magazine, Koulopoulos is recognized as an authority on the implications of information technology on global organizations.
Following the keynote address, conference attendees will participate in their choice of breakout sessions on emerging trends in digital marketing, mobile media, and production off-shoring, as well as the latest advancements in 3D technology, augmented reality, and Flash file conversions.
“This year’s conference is packed with content,” said IHAF’s Executive Director, Sarah Cavicchi. “From Tom’s keynote to the range of break-out sessions, it’s all about enabling in-house agencies to keep pace with the changing demands of the businesses they support."
The IHAF Annual Conference will be held on Thursday, October 7th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood, Massachusetts. The event is expected to draw 125-150 advertising and marketing executives, business strategists, and creative professionals.
At present, IHAF maintains a membership base of nearly 2,000 in-house agency professionals, from over 80 companies nationwide. IHAF’s corporate members range in size from 300-person operations to three-person teams—supporting an array of industries including financial services, insurance, healthcare, high tech, retail, manufacturing, transportation, packaged goods, and more.
