Kitchen Play is thrilled to announce the first in a dynamic series of culinary events, the Kitchen Play Progressive Party.

"Our kick-off event embodies the culinary inspiration and innovation that have become hallmarks of the food blogging world," says Casey Benedict, founder of Kitchen Play.

Kitchen Play, which launched on September 20, 2010, is a ground-breaking website devoted to connecting food bloggers to the public relations and marketing industries. Kitchen Play features dynamic culinary events sponsored by national brands, agricultural commodities and family-owned and -run businesses. These events include the Progressive Party, SideCar Series and Pampered Pantry.

In this month's Progressive Party, six bloggers were tasked with the challenge of incorporating a randomly assigned kitchen tool into six wildly different courses. Among other highlights, the blogger assigned to the cocktail course received an oil and vinegar "duo," and the blogger assigned to the dessert course received a garlic chopper.

"The six participants really had their creativity put to the test in this event," says Benedict. "The resulting recipes and posts are nothing short of amazing."

Kitchen Play is also hosting a contest for additional bloggers to win one of six prizes in each Progressive Party course. To add more excitment to the event, one Grand Prize winner will be selected from all eligible entries to win a Le Creuset® Cassis Oval Wide French Oven valued at $250.

The SideCar series pairs smaller groups of bloggers with sponsors and products to create themed events and recipes. This month, Kitchen Play partners with Chateau des Charmes to create the first Wine Pairing SideCar Series event.

The Pampered Pantry, a gift guide for foodies, features high-end, gourmet and hard-to-source products along with reviews of the products written by your fellow food bloggers. There is a review of The Earthbound Cook, (Workman Publishing) in the Pampered Pantry, with more gourmet products to follow.

Visit Kitchen Play at www.kitchen-play.com to join the fun and learn how you can participate in one of these unique opportunities.
