Sept. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- The Northwest Unitarian Universalist Congregation (located at 1025 Mt Vernon Hwy in Sandy Springs) is hosting a 350.org Work Party on 10/10/10 at 11:30 am.
350.org is an international grassroots campaign to mobilize a global climate movement to create equitable solutions to the global warming climate crisis.
Why 350? 350 is the number (measured in “parts per million”) that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.  Current numbers are closer to 390 ppm requiring a global effort to reach the acceptable limit of 350ppm..

All are welcome to attend our Work Party where we will be helping those interested calculate their personal carbon footprint; installing a rain-water capture system; and giving tours of our solar array, among other things, including a kid’s art activity.
