Ryan David Leack New Cd "Sola Fide" Is A Journey Through time and space

Ryan David Leack is a composer, producer, and artist from Los Angeles, California. “I write music because I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't,” states Ryan.   In 2008, after playing in a string of bands, he decided to go solo and recorded his first CD, “Two Dimensional Paradise.”   He recorded the first 10 tracks in a little over a year.  It was at that point that Ryan connected with some filmmakers who were interested in his music for their indie films.  Ryan found his niche’.  Today he has had 7 of his songs featured in five films in the past year.  

Ryan David Leack is now introducing his second CD, “Sola Fide.”  Off this CD, which will be released in January, 2011, is a single titled, “Equilibrium.”  Equilibrium defines a state of peace and harmony.  The premise of the CD itself is space, vastness, emptiness, and wonder: “The musical journey begins with one where a fictional character is blasted off into space.  Song two, Equilibrium, strives to capture the peace and harmony this character feels when leaving the chaos of Earth and finding himself along and tranquil in the quiet of space.  The title, then, both suggests a physical and spiritual state of serenity.”  A story-line, a story-teller, and a talented musician: these three elements most certainly equate to a modern day voyeur whose ability to transpose his thoughts into a story becomes critical for success.  All the songs on this yet-to-be-released CD create images, thoughts, and trigger an imagination some may have thought they didn’t possess.  These pieces are beautifully composed, recorded, and performed and are an absolute delight to listen to.  Mechanically, this CD changes the standard sequence of most music and continually moves forward, rather than returning to a verse and/or chorus.  

Ryan David Leack has received the Grand Remi Award for a film called “Mother’s Milk,” to which he wrote the score.  He has also written the score for “Absentia,” which was submitted to Sundance and other festivals.  The director of this film has won 18 film festival awards and has worked with major television stations.  The feature film “Rain Down” also featured his song “Equilibrium.”  “Sola Fide” is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
