Grand Union Marks 5th Anniversary Of Food For All

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 24, 2010 - KEENE, NH - GU Markets LLC, a division of C&S Wholesale Grocers, has announced that they have raised $137,460 since 2006 through their summer and holiday season Food For All campaigns. With the direct support of their customers and employees, funds from the campaigns have benefitted local and regional Feeding America food banks.

GU Markets’ summer Food For All campaign was held in stores from June through early September while the holiday campaign runs from early November through early January. Customers select a $1, $3 or $5 donation coupon at the checkout stand, hand it to the cashier and have it scanned. Donations appear on the final receipt and are 100% tax-deductible.

“For five years, the Food For All initiative has offered our customers and employees the opportunity to donate to area food banks each time they shop,” said Dan Bain, VP Merchandising and Marketing, GU Markets. “Their generosity helps local food assistance groups provide hope and help to struggling families.”
