GU Markets’ summer Food For All campaign was held in stores from June through early September while the holiday campaign runs from early November through early January. Customers select a $1, $3 or $5 donation coupon at the checkout stand, hand it to the cashier and have it scanned. Donations appear on the final receipt and are 100% tax-deductible.
“For five years, the Food For All initiative has offered our customers and employees the opportunity to donate to area food banks each time they shop,” said Dan Bain, VP Merchandising and Marketing, GU Markets. “Their generosity helps local food assistance groups provide hope and help to struggling families.”
Food For All’s President & CEO Denis Zegar said, “The Food For All campaign is a wonderful tool for retailers to raise money for locally selected hunger-alleviation charities, and GU Markets and their customers have fully embraced the program.”
