Nominate Your Favorite Caregiver for Ruth's Reward

Sept. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- LAWRENCEBURG – Everyone knows at least one person in our community whom we all admire for their care and dedication to that special older someone in their life.  With its Seventh Annual Ruth’s Reward, Country Cottage Assisted Living will honor the person who best represents the spirit of Ruth by caring for an older loved one.  Nominations will be taken through Sunday, October 17.
The story of Ruth, as told in the Old Testament, describes a woman who perseveres through heartache and tragedy to build a home and take care of her mother-in-law.  Despite Naomi’s repeated attempts to set her daughter-in-law free, Ruth would not return to her own family.  “For whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.” (Ruth 1:16)
Annually, Country Cottage honors someone who tirelessly cares for an older loved one in their life.  “We want to honor the recipient of Ruth’s Reward, and at the same time pay homage to all those caregivers who improve the lives of their loved ones,” said Lisa Chapman, LPN, Managing Director of Country Cottage.
Nomination forms can be found at the Cottage, in the newspaper, or online. Completed nomination forms can be dropped off or mailed to the Cottage at 469 Weakley Creek Road, faxed to 766-0659, or submitted online at www.cottageassistedliving.com/ruth. All nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee of community leaders, and the winner will be announced at the Ruth’s Reward Celebration on Sunday, November 7th at 2:00 p.m.
