Philips’ Third Generation SpeechMike now available from G2 Speech

The new Philips SpeechMike III is now available from G2 Speech - the leading provider of medical speech recognition and digital dictation solutions.

PRLog - Sep. 24, 2010 - LEYTON, U.K. -- The new Philips SpeechMike III is now available from G2 Speech - the leading provider of medical speech solutions. The third generation handsets bring improved noise-reduction technology, antimicrobial surface, and optimised dictation buttons to the bestselling line of speech recognition and digital dictation microphones.

SpeechMike III has been created after listening to customer feedback and incorporates new ergonomic and practical use improvements over the much loved SpeechMike II. Philips SpeechMike III can be used for standard digital dictation but is also ideal for next generation speech recognition systems such as MediSpeech from G2 Speech.

The new model handset is designed for maximum ease of use and has an antimicrobial surface, ideally suited for environments which require clinical levels of hygiene. Other improvements include exceptionally clear sound quality, which makes the SpeechMike III perfectly suited for use with speech recognition systems.

Neil Duggan, Philips Speech Processing Sales Manager welcomed G2 Speech making the SpeechMike III available:
“Philips sees G2 Speech as a key partner in delivering the SpeechMike III to NHS Trusts, GPs and other medical organisations. It is a winning combination of our advanced dictation technology, enabling impressive speech recognition and digital dictation results.”
Henry Gallagher, managing director of G2 Speech UK Ltd said:
“G2 Speech provides NHS Trusts with hundreds of Philips SpeechMikes for speech recognition and digital dictation. We recommend that the Philips SpeechMike III should be the first choice for any organisation looking to implement a G2 Speech solution.
In Holland over 95% of hospitals already use a G2 Speech solution with Philips SpeechMikes. We now look forward to introducing the SpeechMike III to great effect across the UK, working closely with Philips to make sure that NHS Trusts have the best voice recording equipment available.”
Gerhard Podhradsky, head of development at Philips Speech Processing said:

“Philips dictation devices are the systems utilised most by professional users, not only in the traditional areas of dictation and voice recognition applications, such as medicine or the legal field, but in all applications with high-text volume – whether in business, scientific institutions, or government agencies.”
