“We are proud to participate again in this year’s Relay For Life event,” said Patti Rollins, branch manager of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Palm Desert. “This year we are determined to raise more money to support the American Cancer Society and their tireless efforts to find a cure. If you are a survivor, I encourage you to be at the Palm Desert Civic Center to walk with our Coldwell Banker staff from various offices.”
To commemorate October’s Cancer Awareness Month, more than 300 cancer survivors, Coldwell Banker staff and friends are expected to participate in the weekend walk, set to begin at 9 a.m. At last year’s Relay For Life, the Coldwell Banker ‘On The Move’ team raised more than $7,000 for the largest not-for-profit fundraiser. That night, 12 Coldwell Banker cancer survivors kicked things off by walking the first lap of the track, while a total of 100 team members and families participated. Twenty dedicated team members even camped out for the entire night.
“Our regional vice president of Coldwell Banker and cancer survivor, Rick Jenkins, will be joining the desert community at the walk,” said Rollins. “I cannot express enough how thankful I am to be working with such a supportive Coldwell Banker family.”
Heading up this year’s event are Coldwell Banker sales agents Sue Sheehan and Alan Abell, who both serve as co-chairs. To find out more information on how you can participate in the walk, please contact them at (760) 776-9898.
