Asigra Presents at 2010 SNIA Cloud Burst Summit on Cloud Storage Security, Standards and Trends

The Cloud Burst Summit is produced by the Storage Industry Networking Association (SNIA) and takes place during the Storage Developer Conference (SDC) on September 23, 2010 in Santa Clara, California. The Cloud Burst Summit is the only industry event focused on storage in the Cloud and brings together end users, cloud providers and storage vendors for a unique experience that includes product demonstrations, a vendor showcase and in depth sessions on this part of the overall cloud computing industry.

During the event, IDC’s Ben Woo will host a panel titled Cloud Storage Reality that will include Erik Riedel, senior director of technology and architecture in the Cloud Infrastructure Group at EMC, Val Bercovici, cloud czar at NetApp’s Office of the CTO and Ashar Baig, Chairman of the SNIA Cloud Backup and Recovery SIG and Senior Director of Product Marketing for Asigra. The panel will address the industry’s toughest questions in cloud storage, including security and standards and discuss trends that are influencing the development of new technologies.

The Cloud Storage Reality panel is scheduled to begin at 4:15 pm on September 23 at the Cloud Burst Summit which takes at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, California. Additionally, Ashar Baig will also present in a separate session titled Why Cloud Backup and Recovery (BUR) Now? which will begin at 3:00 pm on September 23rd at the Summit.
