Though designing and constructing condominiums and communities under the Tridel trademark is the primary focus of business, work for outside construction clients is also managed by Delterra. “We develop 1,500 condominiums a year under the Tridel umbrella,” explains Greg Nevins, Senior Vice President of construction. “We build some non-profit condominiums, rental buildings, senior facilities, and we just completed a redevelopment that included two condos and a school on one property.”
“We’ve spent tremendous amount of time, in the last seven years or so, to improve energy efficiencies in the buildings that we build, in order to have competitive advantage today and in the future,” explains Nevins. To help with identifying opportunities for saving energy in homes, Delterra has implemented the use of a software modelling system.
Delterra is highly centred on its customers. “We have philosophy of being the best at what we do. We have very high integrity, and strive to always do the right thing,” says Nevins. “We’re not just chasing after profits at the sacrifice of our reputation. We want to make money, yes, but first we want to have very happy clients and customers.”
