Revitalizing employees and leaders for 2011
As organizations prepare for their last quarter and 2011, significant change is still on the agenda.  “In this environment, it is even more important for business leaders to have the communications plans and skills required to manage concerns and align their most important asset -- their people with business goals.” says Aniko Czinege, president and founder of Workwise Communication.  “Business planning for 2011 should include an assessment to check that the current internal communication strategy and plans are still effective”.    “With all the reports of a double dip recession, employees at all levels are wondering what the next year will bring” says Czinege.  “Leaders are tired and tempted to stay with what they know. A new internal communication strategy in 2011 can revitalize both employees and leaders and set the new year off to a good start”.

Workwise Communication believes that an internal communication assessment should form part of the business planning process for 2011.  Czinege said “Organizations need to assess that their current employee communication is getting through.   If your employees are no longer reading the newsletter or managers are not regularly talking to their teams – you need to know and soon”.
To help organizations prepare for 2011, Workwise Communication is launching the Workwise Communication Assessment Toolkit.  The toolkit will enable organizations to gather credible research data to ensure the right communication is getting through to employees.  The data also provides solid rationale for changes such as improving leadership visibility and line manager communication skills along with benchmarks. The toolkit can be utilized in three cost effective ways:  Workwise can conduct the assessment on an organization’s behalf (including project management), they can deliver a “train the trainer” program or the toolkit can be purchased.
Workwise recommends that the assessment contains four vital elements; employee focus groups, executive interviews, employee surveys and a review of current communication.  “The findings can be used to show that employees are still valued and that their views are listened to.  The data can set the platform for leaders to reconnect and engage employees in 2011” says Czinege
