Host Family Event has Special Meaning

Sept. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- This year was very special to us. An aupair from Sweden that was a part of our group last year named Li Engman came back to visit us for a surprise. This would have be an ordinary day and event for us, but Li was sent home last year after she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer at the age of twenty. Our group as well as her host family was delighted to find out Li was able to visit. It has been a very long seven months for her as Li has undergone a several procedures.

She is however currently doing very well and is in remission.
It was great for her to be back and be a part of our event. We had a great time and everyone was happy to see her. We presented Li with the "Team Li" sign from the Shirley Mae Cancer Run that we did this past year in her honor. We also presented her with a Survivior Shirt. We raised over $1000 in her name. We will particicpate in this event every year as "Team Li"
