Audio Visual Company Develops Custom Modular Racking System

Sept. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- McCann Systems, an innovative design-build audio visual integrator, has just introduced a custom modular racking system specifically designed to support Christie MicroTiles™.  MicroTiles™ are modular digital display tiles that can be stacked and clustered liked building blocks to create digital displays in almost any shape or size and can be assembled in any configuration imaginable.  

As an authorized Christie dealer, McCann Systems fully embraces Christie’s new MicroTiles™, the future of the digital canvas.  McCann’s latest innovation, a custom modular racking system, fully enables MicroTiles’™ limitless applications.    The custom back plate of the McCann design does not impede on any of the cooling or connection points of the MicroTiles™.  The rig is made of 6105-T5 aluminum framing and is not limited by any size or shape.   Just as MicroTiles™ are digital display building blocks so is McCann’s custom modular racking system.  The framing system interconnects with couplers that can be repositioned quickly and easily, allowing for limitless configurations.

It also has muscle, with a yield strength of up to 35,000 pounds per square inch. The McCann designed 6105-T5 aluminum framing is the ideal system to support the load of any MicroTile™ configuration.

In addition to permanent audio visual installations, McCann Systems now rents Christie MicroTiles™ for promotions and events.  McCann recently integrated MicroTiles™ into the windows of Fifth Avenue in Manhattan for the highly anticipated 2010 New York Fashion Week.  McCann also designed and installed Christie MicroTiles™ in the garden of New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) annual award gala.
