“We are honored to be sponsoring this event for the second year and take pride in giving back to the community through the American Cancer Society.” commented Jim Larkin, General Manager for the Crowne Plaza Hotel. “Both myself and my colleagues know how important this event is and are just happy to support the kids.”
R.O.C.K. programs are specifically for kids that have been diagnosed with cancer. These programs include: R.O.C.K camp for children ages 7 to 16 that have been diagnosed with cancer, R.O.C.K families’ weekend for patients, parents and sibling, as well as college scholarships. They also partially fund childhood cancer research, implement early detection programs and prevention and provide assistance for parents to access the best treatment for their child.
The American Cancer Society depends on the generosity of donors to fund the fight against cancer. Each donation is vital, whether it is given by a foundation, in a bequest, or dollar-by-dollar at a fundraising event. The "Ball," to be held at Robb & Stucky Corporate Headquarters off Plantation Road, is the top fundraiser in Lee County and the top ranked Cattle Barons' Ball in Florida. Past events have raised more than $760,000.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel is the ideal place to meet and relax with freshly updated accommodations, a full restaurant and bar, as well as multiple meeting rooms.
