WyoTech-Sacramento Adds HVAC Program

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 20, 2010 - Sacramento, Calif. (September 20, 2010) – WyoTech-Sacramento added a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) program to meet workforce demands. WyoTech’s nine-month HVAC diploma program provides students with the knowledge and skills required to specialize in the HVAC industry. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers is projected to increase 28 percent during the 2008-18 decade – much faster than the average projected increase for all occupations.

"This trade compliments and continues to diversify our program offerings," said John Hurd, campus president. "Expanding into the HVAC industry is a great opportunity for our students, and our instructors are some of the best technicians in the business."

   * Basic Construction
   * Basic Electricity
   * Air Conditioning
   * Fuel Heating Systems
   * Air Distribution
   * Systems Controls
   * Heat Pumps
   * System Application and Design
   * HVAC Diagnostics

Successful program graduates can seek employment as entry-level technicians in the HVAC field such as Furnace Install and Repair Apprentice, A/C Mechanic Apprentice, or Sheet Metal Fabrication Apprentice.
