Sept. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Buff, Inc. known for their innovative, versatile and multifunctional headwear for anglers, is excited to sponsor Trapper Rudd and Paul Hansen’s Sporting Life Adventure Travel (SLAT) excursion to Micronesia. The pair will be on location to film their adventures and help expose to the angling community this largely obscure destination.

Buff, Inc. is providing monetary and product support, including Buff’s new Pro Series Angler Gloves (handwear) and UV Angler Buff (headwear).  To help combat Micronesia’s unrelenting sun and to encourage early-stage skin health, Rudd and Hansen will distribute Buff, Inc.’s kids-specific product to local children on the island of Kosrae. Buff, Inc.’s product for children includes the Baby Buff and Junior Buff.

“The angling community has embraced Buff with a fervor and we’re very excited to be able to give back through SLAT’s adventurous and philanthropic journey to Micronesia,” said Shirley Choi Brunetti, general manager and vice president, Buff, Inc.

SLAT is a destination adventure company that ventures worldwide, taking angling exploration to new heights. While on the Micronesian island of Kosrae, the explorers anticipate reeling in Tarpon, Bonefish, Giant Trevally, and most of the major pelagic species while documenting the journey in HD; the project will include a guerilla style documentary and blog to share with their fans. Daily updates will also be posted to Buff, Inc.’s Facebook page.

Buff, Inc.’s Angler series was designed to provide increased sun protection for the head and hands, while also providing protection from insects. Buff, Inc.’s Angler series provides the same moisture wicking and thermoregulation properties as the Original Buff and thanks to Coolmax® technology, Buff headwear keeps anglers cool when it’s hot, and warm when it’s cold. The lightweight, breathable, moisture wicking fabric is wind resistant and extremely comfortable to wear.
