Jet-Setting Woman Brings Home the Luxury of a Spa Treatment by Creating Her Own Product Line

Sept. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Salty Dog Bath and Body Products founded in Saint Petersburg, was inspired by owner Tina Brogdon’s desire to unwind and pamper herself after a crazy work week filled with jet-setting meetings and hectic appointments.

Tina visited her local spas and salons whenever her schedule allowed to get spoiled and relax but soon realized that the visits were just one more appointment on her calendar.  She decided to create a specialized bath and body product line that would allow her to bring the spa experience home and wanted to share it with others.

To design her vision, each Salty Dog Product had to contain luxurious ingredients that could easily have been sold to her from her favorite high-end spa. She also wanted to use organic and natural ingredients with no preservatives in her salt scrubs, body oils, bath bombs, bar soaps, bath salts and body butters to create a healthy experience.

Salty Dog Bath and Body Products contain pure ingredients such as USDA certified organic oils, rich organic shea butter, natural sea salt, honey, oatmeal, and more. The products are lightly scented and come in a variety of choices including: Coconut Lime, Citrus Punch, Lavender Dunes, Vanilla Tradewinds, Lemon Grass, Island Lei, Knotty Buoy, Mermaid Mist and Bare Naked (no scent).

One may think that since organic and natural ingredients are used in all of the bath and body products, that they may be pricey. When asked about the affordability of the products Tina replied: “One of my purposes for creating the Salty Dog Product line was to share it with others and to do so at reasonable prices. One visit to the website will show you that the products are extremely affordable-especially for organic and natural bath products. A big reason for that is the ingredients are purchased locally unless they’re not available. This practice not only supports our local business people in the Tampa Bay area, but also reduces my production expenses.
