The Rose from Afar

The sweet smell of her skin
A warm wind embracing my heart
Like a blanket wrapped around my soul
The morning sunshine surrounds the mountains above
A beautiful rose appears from afar
Colors so vibrant they illuminate your darkest days
Tears fill my eyes as I watch the rose disappear into the
night sky
Missing my rose, like love missing from my empty heart.

About the Author

Anthony's life changed dramatically on May 22, 2009. While working for a telecommunication company for eleven years, Anthony was involved in a hit and run accident during a weekend getaway; the accident resulted in major injuries.

On leave from work Anthony decided to write and publish his first book, A Book of Poems:The InnerSoul. This collection of poetry contains the work of nineteen poems. Each poem expresses emotions of love, happiness, sadness and hope. Anthony F. Rando life's passion is poetry. Through writing he can express his deepest feelings of himself to the world.
