Sept. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Douglas J. Bauer, CFP® and Daniel D. Bauer, MSFA, have formed a new company, AllSquare Wealth Management, LLC, an SEC-registered Investment Advisor. The new firm has formed strategic alliances with Pershing Advisor Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon Corp., for custodial services and with Spire Securities, LLC, a FINRA member firm, for broker-dealer services.

AllSquare provides wealth-management services to high net worth individuals and small business owners in the Capital District and in 12 different states. The firm's services include retirement income analysis, estate and wealth transfer planning, investment policy statement development, fee-based portfolio management and risk-management strategies. The firm also offers tax preparation services for individuals, trusts and estates.

The firm's president, Douglas J. Bauer has more than 35 years of experience assisting clients with their financial and life goals. He consults with his clients on a wide range of issues including business continuation, charitable gifting strategies, financial planning, life insurance, investment analysis, retirement income analysis, income tax preparation and estate planning.  He holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany. Additionally, he has earned a number of professional designations including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Financial Planning Practitioner (CFP).

The firm's vice president, Daniel D. Bauer began his career in the financial services industry in 2001. His primary responsibilities include portfolio management, account servicing, developing financial plans and creating investment policy statements. He holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Analysis from the College for Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from Cornell University.
