Sept. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- International Frugal Fun Day is October 2nd.   With today’s economy, frugality is definitely “in“, but does that mean that fun has to be out?  For many, its hard to imagine how to combine saving money and having fun.  In the spirit of making lemonade from lemons, one Florida woman is taking aim at helping people live large on small budgets.

Kathy Davis, founder of the website, www.frugality-coach.com, a site that offers money saving tips and advice, wants people to know about the numerous ways to have fun on any budget.  Activities like hiking, free concerts, geocaching, bird watching or picnicking are just a few of the many frugal activities to be enjoyed this fall.

“Check out your local newspapers, ask your neighbors, inquire at church, or go online to locate frugal activities in your area,” says Davis.  “With just a little time and effort, you will find many great inexpensive entertainment ideas.”

What makes this frugal website different from others is the level of detailed information.  Gone is the usual generic advice like clip coupons, visit garage sales, or stop spending so much.  Instead there are specific step by step instructions on a variety of frugal topics, thorough money saving explanations and a genuine commitment to sharing affordable solutions.
