A day in the life of a Pest Control Professional?

The day to day life of a Pest Control Professional.

Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- I started way back in the early 1990's in The Pest Control Industry and really had no idea how much fun I would have with bugs. Many folks hate and despise bugs and rodents in almost any size or shape. They have good reason to not like bugs and or rodents, they may carry diseases and parasites which may or may not affect you.
Mosquitoes probably have killed more people than any other way of dying and fleas – the major culprit of the scourge of the Bubonic Plague. Most people at the time probably thought it was the rats which ran amuck over most areas at that time and when more rats died the fleas started biting people.
So I think it is important to have people on the fore front of the war against pests, whether its termites gnawing at your home or bedbugs trying to spread around the world. We are now engaged in a fight against bedbugs, I watched as they spread from New York City to Portland and now to the Phoenix area. These pests are hitching rides in some unusual manners these days, from children’s backpacks to moving vans. They are also found in some unique locations, theaters, day care centers, libraries, clothing stores and even the basement of the Empire State Building.
I write a blog daily except Sunday’s at http://www.callprobest.com/blog, the blog is about things in the pest arena, from West Nile Virus updates to cases of bedbugs and how people sometimes try to solve their own problems. So check the blog to see about bug/rodent issues in the SouthWest.
Today we run the gambit of pest problems, scorpions are a serious pest here in the Desert and depending on monsoon weather the mosquitoes can be severe or almost non-existent. One day we might get calls on rattlesnakes and the next day a call about a skunk under a building. So each day is different and I personally think exciting.
