YES 3 JUDGING SESSION: Who Get To Pitch for Real Money? The Choice is in Your Hands!

Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Petaling Jaya, 14 September 2010 – The TOP 13 teams from the Maybank – MoneyTree Young Entrepreneur Startup 3 (YES 3) Challenge which got through the BreakThrough Session last weekend will be undergoing another round of elimination on the 25th of September 2010 at Monash University, Sunway Campus.

The 13 teams from HELP University College, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), University of Malaya (UM), Multimedia University (MMU), Taylor’s University College and Monash University will once again have to battle it out against each other in the Judging Session, the final round of elimination in the YES 3 Challenge.

This time, the teams will be competing to get into the TOP 5 spots which will bring them one step closer to achieving their dreams of starting a real business by soliciting startup funds from private investors. Each team would be given 10 minutes to present their ideas to the YES Advisory Panel and Judges, followed by an 8 minute Q & A session, where the teams would have to defend their ideas against the brutal scrutiny of the Judges. Teams would be judged based on a set of criteria which include, among others, the commercial viability of their ideas, Scalability of the business model, Financial Projections and Revenue Models of their business.

Their enthusiasm and determination to claim their right on the TOP 5 spots in the YES 3 Challenge really goes to show that our youths have got what it takes to succeed, IF we provide them with the right guidance, support, and motivation to succeed. What’s even more fascinating is that these youths were willing to work through their Hari Raya holidays to ensure that their business plans are fine tuned, polished and can withstand the brutal scrutiny of the judges. It is this hunger for success that makes them real Entrepreneur role models for their peers”, said UV Wong, Director of Special Initiatives, MoneyTree Malaysia.

About the Maybank MoneyTree YES Challenge:

The Maybank MoneyTree YES challenge is a business challenge organized by MoneyTree to help Young, Vibrant Entrepreneur Aspirants launch their business ideas into the market and ultimately turn those ideas into profitable ventures.
