Canoe & Kayak Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards Names Kokatat Apparel Brand of the Year

Sept. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- ARCATA, Calif.– For the first time ever, Canoe & Kayak Magazine announced their Reader’s Choice Awards, naming Kokatat Apparel Brand of the Year. These awards were created to highlight the innovation and triumphs in the paddlesports industry. Kokatat is honored to receive this accolade from Canoe & Kayak Magazine readers.

Additionally, Paddler of the Year and Expedition of the Year were both awarded to Kokatat Ambassador Freya Hoffmeister. Hoffmeister is the world’s first female solo paddler to circumnavigate Australia in a record-setting 322 days.

The magazine staff of paddlesport enthusiasts created their list of qualified candidates, then invited subscribers and online readers to vote for their favorite paddling brands, products and people through an online survey. In total, 3,600 Canoe & Kayak readers voted in less than 30 days.
