DMTS launches Text to Landline Service

Sept. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- DMTS has added an additional text messaging feature which allows its customers to send text messages to home phones all over Canada and the US. The DMTS customer simply enters a landline number in the “TO” field of the text message, types their message and sends it off. The message is then delivered to the home phone as a voice message. The home phone recipient can even respond back using their own voice. The DMTS customer will also receive a status text message telling him if the message was delivered to a live person or a voicemail system and a reply text message if the home phone recipient replies.  

“Young people love this feature. They can now communicate with their parents that do not text message.” says Mark Carlin, Vice President of Sales for the Americas at TeleMessage. ‘Young people don’t use the phone for talking any more. It is all about texting.”
