Parents and caregivers will be given one on one instruction on how to properly use their child’s infant or booster seat. Each day in the U.S. an average of 4 children are killed in traffic crashes and another 529 are injured. It is estimated that nearly 75 percent of infant seats are incorrectly used. When used properly, child safety seats reduce the likelihood of an infant under 1-year old being killed in a vehicle crash by 71 percent and for toddlers 1 to 4 years old by 54 percent.
