Line 204 Acquires Angstrom Lighting

Sept. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Line 204, “L.A.’s Ultimate One Stop Shop” for production and event services, studio space and supplies, today announced that it has acquired Angstrom Lighting, one of Southern California's oldest and most respected entertainment lighting companies.

“Bringing the two companies together is a logical and powerful next step in our evolution,” said Alton Butler, president of Line 204. “By combining the expertise and resources of both companies, we will now be able to offer a much wider variety of products and services—all under one roof—to customers throughout Southern California and beyond.  In fact, customers at both Angstrom Lighting and Line 204 should continue to expect the same great service they've been getting for years, only now we’ll be even more comprehensive.”

Following the acquisition, Angstrom Lighting will retain its name, brand and location, and will continue to offer a vast assortment of lighting equipment for both rentals and sales, as well as in-house and field repair, design services, and classes through its education arm, Angstrom University.

Line 204 is moving its existing rental facility from 1034 Seward Street to the Angstrom Lighting facilities at 837 N. Cahuenga Blvd. and 832 Cole Avenue in Hollywood.  Founded in 1997, Line 204 is one of the largest production services companies in Los Angeles with headquarters in Hollywood and additional facilities in Sylmar.  Under the vision of founder and president Alton Butler, Line 204 has developed into a suite of companies providing commercial production and event services throughout Southern California.

Angstrom Lighting has remained at the forefront of the entertainment lighting industry since its inception in Hollywood, California, in 1977.  For more than three decades, company owners Frans and Coco Klinkenberg have led the evolution of Angstrom Lighting through numerous changes, while remaining closely involved in the day-to-day activities of the company.
