2010 Rock Regional Business Expo

Sept. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Forward Janesville, in cooperation with other area chambers (Greater Beloit, Brodhead, Edgerton, Evansville, and Milton) is proud to announce the 2nd annual Rock Regional Business Expo. This spectacular one-day event will be held on October 21, 2010 at the former Menard’s building (2700 Pontiac Place, Janesville).  The event will feature a trade show, luncheon, networking and the area’s largest Business After 5 (BA5).  

The 2009 Business & Marketing Expo was host to nearly 150 exhibitors and approximately 1,200 attendees, and we are striving to make this year’s event even bigger and better.  The Expo will give companies who are members of the chambers listed above the opportunity to exhibit their products and services at FJI member rates.

The keynote speaker for the Expo Luncheon (sponsored by Dean and St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital) will be noted adventurer and motivational speaker Lori Schneider, who also happens to be a native of Janesville!  Following a devastating diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) a decade ago, Lori set out to climb the highest mountain on each continent.  With an incredible amount of drive and determination, Lori became the first person in the world with MS to conquer the world’s “Seven Summits.”  Her amazing story will entertain, inspire and motivate you!

In addition to our Keynote speaker, Rock County 5.0 and Murphy Desmond Lawyers will announce the winner of the Accelerate Your Business Plan Contest. Over a dozen area businesses and organizations contributed to the Contest's prize package - valued up to $25,000.  Another 30 individuals and businesses provided time / talent to assist with the Contest's workshops, mentor sessions and/or the judging panel.  

The event will begin with the luncheon at 11:00 AM.  The Expo will begin at 12:30 PM, and the day will conclude with a Business After 5 from 5 PM until 7 PM.  Admission to the Expo is $5, and this includes entrance to the BA5.  Luncheon reservations ($20 for FJI members, $35 for non-members) also include admission to the BA5.  Tickets to the Expo may be purchased in advance or at the event.
