2010 National Conference and Career Fair to include the White House

The National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) 2010 Conference and Career Fair Global Economy, Global Leadership October 1-2, 2010 in Louisville, Kentucky, announces the participation of the White House Presidential Personnel Office.

Sept. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- A special session will focus on the Presidential appointments process and answer questions individuals may have about joining the Administration. According to the White House Presidential Personnel Office, this session will demonstrate the commitment to finding the best and brightest people to fill roles across all agencies, and at every level, in order to drive the kind of creativity, innovation and change that President Obama intends to bring to Washington. In addition to the special session, the White House Presidential Personnel Office will also participate in the Career Fair.

The 2010 Conference will be held at the Louisville Marriott with the Career Fair at the Kentucky International Convention Center. The event is sponsored by Humana, Brown-Forman, The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, American Airlines, The Home Depot, Wesco Distribution, Ernst & Young, Prudential, Yum! Brands, McDonalds, State Farm, Northwestern Mutual, Cintas, General Electric, Cardinal Health,  The Campbell Soup Company and Walt Disney World Resort.  Career Fair sponsors include U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, P&G, FDIC, FHL Bank San Francisco, Giant Eagle, AT&T, E-ON/US, Ericsson, FDIC, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, DPDHL Consulting, Freddie Mac, EQT, Baker Hughes, Waste Management, Walmart Sam’s Club, SAP, Vanguard, Coca-Cola Enterprises, and Ford Motor Company.  Universities participating in the Career Fair include University of Louisville College of Business, Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management, Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business, University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, University of Missouri Crosby MBA,  Rice University Jesse H, Jones Graduate School of Business, Penn State Wharton School of Business, University of Houston,  DeVry University Bauer College of Business,  University of Maryland Robert H, Smith School of Business and University of North Carolina Charlotte Belk School of Management. Students and professionals will have the opportunity to attend the Career Fair, participate in career consulting sessions (resume reviews and mock interview), networking events, development sessions, and meet women of all levels and backgrounds. Many of the companies participating in the Career Fair are actively researching the resume database to schedule one-on-one meetings at the conference. There will be over 300 company representatives at the conference. GE, American Airlines and Campbell Soup Company will have over 25 representatives alone. The 2010 Conference development sessions consist of five tracks:  Powerful Women We All Should Know, Triple Play: Your Career, Your Life, and Your Wellness, Navigating Your Ideal Career, Career Opportunities for MBAs, and Creating Collaboration Among Women in Corporate America. While the session topics in each track work together attendees have the choice to attend all sessions in one track, or switch between tracks.
