Sept. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- For the first time ever, on Sunday, September 19, the Charlotte Roller Girls will be battling on the track at Kate's Skating Rink, 1151 Skating Rink Dr., Gastonia, NC (on the corner of Hudson and Union).  Until recently, Kate's was the practice venue for the ladies.  Now, they're returning to their roots to heat up the track!

The September 19 bout will feature the Vintage Vixens vs. the Baby Bombshells, pitting wisdom against youth.  Half time festivities will be dedicated to CLTRG's youngest fans with relays and games for prizes. The last age based intraleague bout showed that experience did indeed outweigh youthful exuberance when the Cougars beat the Kittens 100 to 81 in December 2009.

"There is no way the Vixens will beat my Bombshells, we are younger and faster and I know their old strategy!" says Lucy Kwipment, a former Cougars skater-turned-coach for the Baby Bombshells this time. "Hey, the older we get, the tougher we are! We'll send those kids back to bench just like we did in December" says Sadie Hellcat.
