Malachi Andre' Lane Awarded for His Community Service

Malachi Lane, a 16 year old junior at Bartlett High School (Bartlett Tennessee) was awarded The 2010 Light House Award for his Community Service and Volunteerism.

Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- In Nashville TN, September  5th, 2010, Malachi Lane was awarded The Light House Award for his Community Service and Volunteerism. Community service is a very important factor and duty when it comes to making our society better. Mr. Lane stated that  “my parents   taught me to remember to share and to help someone. It is not always about us, but what we can do for others.”  "I was a child that both my parents wanted. I was told from the time I was born that I was totally satisfactory. I had a chance to be what I wanted to be." Magarette Mead      Malachi expressed that all children don't have loving, caring, and kind parents.  He has volunteered to serve for “Toys for Tots, FedEx United Way, Diversity Walk, Bibles for China, and Rose of Sharon Clothes Closet.  Malachi has earned over 375hrs of community service hours in addition playing football for Bartlett High School while finding time to mentor younger men in his school and community. Mr. Lane's  family, church, and community should be proud that this young man is letting others see hisbeautiful light.
