Howard Bright, owner of Ion Exchange one of Iowa’s largest native plant and seed nurseries has wide ranging experience with native seeds and plants

Who Should Attend? Landscape designers, landscape architects, municipal staff, engineers, consultants,
contractors, landscapers, horticulturalists, biologists, students and interested homeowners. A special certificate of
training in “Native Landscaping and Soil Quality Restoration” will be provided to those that attend the event and
pass the written exam given at the end of this event.
This training program will meet the educational requirements for a Rainscaping Rainscaper certificate for

Program: A technical training session that addresses native turf, native plantings in gardens, and native prairie
restoration on a larger scale such as corporate campuses and stream and lakeshore buffers. It will address native
landscaping function in the urban landscape, essential design elements, construction and maintenance of this
stormwater quality best management practices. Technical training will also be provided on soil quality restoration for
new developments and existing managed turf yards and areas.

Other guest speakers will be speaking.
