Sept. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Arguably the ultimate super yacht accessory, the new Lasy Solar offers the most luxurious and effortless option in relaxing on deck, whilst basking in the sun’s rays. Solar powered, the elegant and sustainable self-positioning sun bed doesn’t require connecting to the yacht’s main power source, as a set of lithium batteries hidden in the base of the bed constantly recharge.  The ultimate gadget for use on a private desert island too.

The unique, high-end circular lounger is the innovation of bespoke luxury design engineering team - LMV Design Technology Ltd.  Fusing beauty and function, LMV has built-in a myriad of technological features to its sumptuous Lasy Solar sun bed to ensure a comfortable and luxurious experience for its customers.

At 3.2m in diameter, Lasy Solar is equivalent in size to a king size bed, allowing you to stretch out in luxury, or lie comfortably with a partner.

For owners of multi-million pound super yachts, Lasy Solar is a real object of desire.  One of the first customers for the Lasy sun bed (the non-solar sister lounger) is an installation on the main deck of the multi-million pound custom designed Candyscape II, a 63 metre super yacht.

‘007-like’ features on the Lasy Solar mean at the touch of a button, you can control the position of the sun bed, which can continuously rotate 360 degrees in either direction.  As the sun moves throughout the day, LMV’s integration of discreet and intelligent sensors even allows you to orientate automatically towards the sun - also ideal as your yacht cruises and the environment moves.

LMV has thought about everything customers might want from their sun bed, adding numerous touches of comfort and luxury.  The Lasy Solar is fitted with a Mist Breeze system, which releases a fine water mist to help you stay cool and refreshed in the heat; and an adjustable head support - perfect for keeping you in the ideal position for reading. It comes with a marine grade luxury leather covering, to protect against spillages, stains and the weather, which can be wiped clean with water or leather creams.

Prices for the Lasy Solar start at €98,000 - with bespoke design options available. For example, customised shapes and dimensions can be developed, material finishes and colours can be specified, and if desired storage compartments could be custom fitted.

The Lasy Solar is available through select design companies, such as www.DeTnk.com or directly at www.lasybed.com.  For further information please visit www.lmvdesign.com

LMV specialises in developing high-end custom made furniture, many with ‘007-like’ features integrated into their interiors. Expanding the expectation of the luxury experience, Lara, Giovanni and the team focus on creating beautiful unique design pieces, combined with the fine craftsmanship and with technical prowess to enhance the customer’s experience. Design projects range from an enormous stone table for a yacht seating 14 at 1.8M x 3.5M - where a solid stone has been carefully emptied and filled in with a sandwich of honeycomb and carbon-fibre to increase the strength and reduce the weight; to luxurious seating for home cinemas.
