Sept. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- New York, NY, September 13, 2010 -- On Monday, September 13, 2010, comedy writer Bayan Rabbani will spend 24 consecutive hours inside the flagship Apple Store in Manhattan, interacting with employees and customers, using a wide assortment of Apple products, and dressing up like Steve Jobs.  He will tweet and photograph this groundbreaking experiment on the popular comedy website ZUG.com.

When Bayan Rabbani recently spent 24 hours inside a Super Walmart, media outlets across the country picked up his funny commentary on the experience.  He followed it up with spending 24 hours inside a Starbucks, which became a viral Internet phenomenon.  Then came 24 hours inside a 24 Hour Fitness health club, well-known for its viral photo of Rabbani running on a treadmill wearing only a Snuggie.

Now the comedian is taking his act to the only Apple Store open 24 hours: the flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. “For Apple nerds like me, this is Mecca.” says Rabbani.  “This is like taking a pilgrimage to the holy land. It’s nerd-vana.”

As with his previous stunts, Rabbani will issue an ongoing stream of comments via his Twitter page, interacting with fans and even taking their suggestions on things to try next.  He plans to wear the trademark black turtleneck and glasses of Apple CEO Steve Jobs, and challenge the tech support employees (branded “Geniuses”) to a game of Trivial Pursuit, among other stunts.

Rabbani does not plan to sleep during the 24 hour Apple marathon, though he may fitfully doze off on a mouse pad.

A full writeup of this groundbreaking experiment will be published on the humor website ZUG.com, known for its stunts and real-life comedy experiments.  “Bayan is a truly original comedian who’s able to mix these incredible feats of human endurance with a fresh comedy perspective,” says editor-in-chief Sir John Hargrave.  “That combination is hard to find. There’s not an app for that.”
