PRLog -- Donned Scream Queen of the Month (Nov. 2009) and the recipient of the 2007 Shriekfest Film Festival’s “Pretty/Scary One to Watch” award, Michelle Tomlinson has finally learned how to kill audiences a different way—by making them laugh themselves to death. In her latest role in THE PATHETICALLY CHEAP ADVENTURES OF XTRA-MAN, Tomlinson exhibits a knack for goofy comedy. Prior to shooting Tomlinson was terrified of the entire process. She’d “rather be locked up in a box for 8 days, that try to do comedy.” Tomlinson has been receiving rave reviews in four separate feature films currently captivating audiences throughout the film festival circuit and has a growing following for her scream queen work since she earned the Pretty/Scary Award for her work in THE CELLAR DOOR, a girl-trapped-
by-a-serial killer psychological thriller. The award is sponsored by the online magazine Pretty/Scary:

Tomlinson’s acting abilities span far beyond just the horror genre. Having starred in the Indie drama INDELIBLE, which has received several Awards on the Festival Circuit and SECOND CLASS CITIZENS in which she played a white supremacist, she now launches into whacky farce with THE PATHETICALLY CHEAP ADVENTURES OF XTRA-MAN. Tomlinson plays a fluffy and vapid ex-stripper!
(Well, maybe not “ex”.) For the role of Subtitle Girl, Tomlinson had to don a sexy French maid outfit, complete with the fishnet stockings. As Subtitle Girl she would pop into the movie holding a cue card with an explanation of a term that was just spoken onscreen. The point was to explain to people in Omaha who weren’t up on their movie vocabulary exactly what the characters were talking about. Not only did her character have to be sexy, but she also had to be ditzy, a real stretch for the ultra-intelligent Tomlinson. But through it all, she had more fun than she thought possible on a movie set, largely to the relaxed nature of the shoot and leading actor Adrian Quihuis who continually cracked up actors and crew alike. The filming became a real challenge when she contracted the flu and had a temperature of 104, but like a real trooper Tomlinson completed her scenes with her usual flair.
