PRLog - Sep. 10, 2010 - LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles, CA – Chopstix Kids, a premium line of faux denim jeggings for girls, is pleased to announce their first full-collection launch. The introduction of over 15 new designs, which started shipping in August, follows almost a year of selling a very limited collection on a made-to-order basis. Regularly selling out in trendy retailers like Fred Segal, Kitson and Flicka, Chopstix Kids has become a favorite among discriminating parents, as well as finicky little fashionistas who refuse to dress in denim. Designed and manufactured in Los Angeles, California, Chopstix Kids’ jeggings combine the comfort that kids require with an enviable style that both parents and little girls covet.
Developed by Angela Lee, a former high-level executive and independent consultant in the areas of fashion, media and consumer electronics, Chopstix Kids was her solution to her then nearly three old niece’s aversion to wearing denim. While her niece often complained that jeans were too tight, too loose or too itchy, she was more than willing to wear leggings. It was then that Lee’s search for the perfect fit and fabric began. With support from her husband and armed with the knowledge she acquired launching numerous products in her career, Lee began collaborating with a designer of a successful denim brand to develop an enviable faux legging for little girls. In the fall of 2009, Lee launched Chopstix Kids, a premium faux denim legging company that combines serious comfort with serious style. The Polycotton/Lycra mix made from 71% Cotton 4% Polyester and 5% Lycra material is the culmination of Lee’s desire to find a comfortable, resilient and durable fabric that can keep up with the demands of active girls.
Each faux denim legging includes astonishingly accurate screen printed details like faux pockets, faux yolk and faux stitch details. However, the pants are sewn together in three places, the outer leg, crotch and around the ¾ inch elastic waistband. Multiple designs make up the three Chopstix Kids’ styles: Bling, Edgy and Classic. The difference between the three styles is not the silhouette or fabric, but the design on the faux back pockets. The Bling designs range from a crown and a smiley face to a guitar and a heart, all created using colorful Swarovski-like crystals, affixed via a non-toxic heat transfer process. Each Edgy style includes a peace sign adorned with rhinestuds on the left back pocket and the Chopstix Kids insignia on the right. The Classic styles showcases the Chopstix Kids signature logo screen printed on both the left and right pocket as well as a Limited Edition Peace-Love design.
Chopstix Kids versatile style and functional fit have converted even the most finicky little fashionistas into faux denim loving darlings. Chopstix Kids jeggings retail from $40.00-$54.00 and are available at specialty boutiques such as Fred Segal, Kitson, Flicka, and Little Bohemian. Online Chopstix Kids can be purchased at www.RonRobinson.com, www.tuttibella.com, www.iCindy.com and will soon be available at www.ChopstixKids.com.
