Denver Company Cautions Diligence to avoid Computer Viruses

Sept. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- We have all become so dependent on technology for our everyday lives.  Laptops, computers, smart phones, ipods, etc.  If we were to lose any one of these items it would seem intolerable.  Viruses, Malware, Adware, Worms. We have become all too familiar with these words.  Why is it that so many of us continue to get these pesky little viruses both at home and in the workplace?  

"Complacency and evolution", stated Jeri Johnson Morgan, President of Code Blue Computing, Inc. headquartered out of Wesminster, Colorado.  "Many people simply do not renew their anti virus programs when they expire or even run the programs they do have.  Another issue with these viruses is they are constantly changing and evolving.  Once we find a way to stop one another one pops up that preys on a separate system vulnerability."  

The fact of the matter is we feel safe when we are on our computers.  We are in our own home and many times it does not dawn on us that we should be careful.  

When asked how we can protect ourselves from future viruses we received these tips from Code Blue Computing.

Never Open an Email from someone you don't know.

If you receive an email from someone you do know referencing information you did not ask for-Do not click on it.

Keep your anti virus program updated and run it regularly.

Do not click on links sent in emails


The "Here you Have" virus which struck today is a good reminder to us all to be diligent when we are using our computers.
