Toronto Private School Expo Returns For Eighth Straight Year

Sept. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Toronto, ON – The Our Kids Private School Expo returns to Toronto for an eight straight year this October 16th. First hosted in Toronto in 2002, the Our Kids Private School Expo has expanded to include stops in four cities across Canada. The Toronto Private School Expo is the largest of the four and continues to be the biggest of its kind in Canada.

Schools from throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) as well as many international boarding schools will be represented at the expo. The expo showcases a variety of options in private education including schools for special needs, advanced studies programs for gifted students, Montessori, Waldorf, single-sex and boarding. Free information seminars throughout the day will provide families with important tips and advice on choosing a school, application requirements and financial support.

Interest in private education has broadened steadily in recent years. As Statistics Canada reports, there has been a steady growth of private school enrollment in Canada since 1987. Our Kids Media has been at the spearhead of that trend. "Our Private School Expos have experienced very strong growth every year. It shows that a good education will always be a priority for families," said Andrew Stawicki, co-founder of Our Kids Media.
