PRESS RELEASE

Partners Unveil “I Care About Kids & I Vote” Campaign

The Connecticut Association for Human Services (CAHS) has partnered with CT Early Childhood Alliance, CT Parent Power and CT Voices for Children to make sure the political candidates realize the importance of one population that cannot vote for themselves– children.

The four partners have launched the “I Care About Kids & I Vote” campaign, a statewide effort to ensure that Connecticut’s  children are healthy, safe and ready to learn, and to educate candidates about how important it is for children to be equipped with the tools and resources necessary for learning.

Connecticut needs leadership – a governor and legislature – that will create a comprehensive approach to early care and education to serve all of the state’s children birth through age 8. We, as a state, must build on our current services while enhancing parent information and access, supporting early childhood programs and teachers, collecting the necessary data to make informed decisions, and streamlining and simplifying funding and paperwork.    The I Care About Kids & I Vote campaign is directly aligned with the outreach and policy initiatives of  CAHS.
