(Bay Shore, New York) — Breast Cancer Help, Inc., a not-for-profit grass roots organization, has announced that Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead will sponsor its 3rd Annual Bill Evans Celebrity Golf Outing, which will be held Thursday, September 16 at The Muttontown Club, 5933 Northern Boulevard, East Norwich, New York.
As part of its involvement in the tournament, Martha Clara Vineyards — which has been given the rights as the official wine of the day for the tournament — will offer a free wine tasting for those in attendance. “We are pleased to have Martha Clara Vineyards join us for this spectacular event,” said Lorraine Pace, Co-President, Breast Cancer Help, Inc. “We want to thank Martha Clara for its generous sponsorship. They have also been gracious enough to provide their special brand of wines that they will have on display for those in attendance to enjoy. This will make the golf tournament extra special.”
Since announcing the 3rd annual Bill Evans Golf Tournament, Breast Cancer Help has seen the tournament grow. There will also be a chance for golfers to try to beat former New York Mets shortstop and current Long Island Ducks Co-Owner Bud Harrelson on one of the par-3 holes. In addition, five lucky golfers will be chosen via raffle for a chance to sink a hole-in-one for $1 million at the end of the tournament.
Valet parking begins at 9:30 a.m. At 11 a.m., the driving range opens. Continental breakfast is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.
The cost is $295.00 per person for a round of golf, or $1,100.00 for a foursome. In addition to golf, the ticket price includes a continental breakfast, lunch, a cocktail hour, a two-hour open bar, dinner, music, and a raffle. Dinner (no golf) is $85.00. All of the proceeds will go to benefit Breast Cancer Help, Inc., their Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center and research into the causes and cure of breast cancer.
This is the third year that Breast Cancer Help has sponsored the Bill Evans Celebrity Golf Tournament. Mr. Evans is a nationally known meteorologist based at WABC-TV (Channel 7) in New York City, where he has reported on the weather since 1989.
