CENTRAL STREET EVANSTON "RETAIL THERAPY NIGHT" THURSDAY OCTOBER 7th TEAMS UP STELLA, JEWELRY DESIGNER SOPHIA FORERO AND A GOOD CAUSE
Evanston, Il--(August 10,2010)--STELLA, a boutique offering eclectic clothing, jewelery, accessories, gifts and home decor is presenting a trunk show with jewelery designer Sophia Forero during the semi-annual RETAIL THERAPY NIGHT on Central Street in Evanston. The event takes place on Thursday October 7th from 6-9pm. STELLA is located at 2116 Central Street in north Evanston.
Retail Therapy is a Ladies Night Out Shopping event that takes place each Fall and Spring and is a thank you to the loyal customers who shop Central Street, Evanston. The retailers and businesses on Central Street have instituted a SHOP SMALL STORES Campaign that has been very successful and has brought an awareness of shopping local and investing in one's own community.
Sophia Forero, a well known and acclaimed designer who works with semi-precious gems and materials of the highest quality is a favorite among STELLA customers and Sophia's jewelry has been worn by Sarah Jessica Parker, Bonnie Hunt, Holly Hunter, Juliette Lewis, Mariel Hemingway, Cheryl Hines and many other Hollywood celebrities. Sophia's eye for color, texture and design stems from her experience of international culture. Sophia worked for the Peace Corps and has traveled the world gathering inspiration and materials from which she crafts her fine jewels. Her jewelry has appeared in feature films and on the anchorwomen of CNN.
Three years ago Sophia, her brother and a New York Times editor teamed up on a mission to create a line of jewels that would directly benefit FOTCOH--Friends of the Children of Haiti. The result was a high end series of necklaces featuring oil drum pendants from Haiti. 100% of the proceeds benefits FOTCOH. Sophia will be raffling off one of these pieces at the STELLA TRUNK SHOW that evening valued at $500. Raffle tickets will sell for $5 each.
Rachel Hershinow, owner of STELLA will donate a portion of the evening's proceeds to FOTCOH as well and will be offering other discounts that evening. Refreshments and libations will be on hand and as always the wonderful STELLA sales associates will be happy to help pick out the perfect gifts, accessories, home decor and clothing any women would ever need or want!
This special night of fun and fundraising is a celebration to women coming together, teaming up for a good cause and of course, looking fabulous...
